Curbside Program

Residential trash and recycle service is set up through utility billing at the city by calling 972-547-7550. Residents are provided with a 95 gallon polycart for trash and a 65 gallon polycart for recycle. Trash and recycle are picked up once a week on the same day. The city will let you know of your collection day at the time you set up services. Your carts must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on your collection day to ensure service. Carts must be set at least 3 feet away from any stationary items such as mailboxes, fences, cars, or gas meters to eliminate the risk of damaging property. The lids must be closed and facing the street. All trash should be bagged and tied to ensure no spillage of trash on the streets and yards. The trash and recycle poly carts are the property of IESI and should remain at the home if the residents moves. If you are moving into a home with more that one poly cart for trash and recycle please notify IESI so that arrangements can be made to have one of them picked up unless you wish to pay for the additional carts.
