City of Burleson Recycling

Curbside Program
 

On Jan. 7, 2008, the City of Burleson, in partnership with Community Waste Disposal (CWD), kicked off the community-wide recycling program. On that first day, 18,820 pounds of recyclables were collected on the route that includes 2,800 homes. The recycling is collected once per week. Multi-Family Program
 

Multi-family residents are welcome to use the Recycling Center. The Recycling Center, located at 124 SW Haskew St., is a drop-off collection site for all of the items currently recycled in the curbside recycling program. The center is open to the public on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information, please visit www.burlesontx.com or call 817-426-9830.

 

Hazardous Disposal Program
  Residents of the City of Burleson may take their household hazardous waste to the Environmental Collection Center (ECC) in Fort Worth. The ECC is open Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is located at 6400 Bridge Street in Fort Worth. There is no fee for dropping off your household hazardous waste, however, residents must take a City of Burleson water or solid waste bill as proof of residency. Residents who do not want to drive to the ECC in Fort Worth, can take their household hazardous wastes to a collection event in Burleson. Household hazardous waste collection events are held twice a year in the City of Burleson. These on-site events are made possible through the City's contract with the City of Fort Worth Environmental Management Department, which owns and operates the Crud Cruiser and the Environmental Collection Center. HHW collection events are only available for residents of the City of Burleson and only material from residences can be accepted. Participants should bring their water or solid waste bill as proof of residency. Yard Trimmings Program
  Citizens are encouraged to follow the Don't Bag It Lawn Care and Leaf Management Plans in order to save time, energy and money. Composting Information
  The City's Mulch Center, located at 620 Memorial Drive, next to Fire Station #2, is open on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. During operating hours, Burleson residents (proof of residency is required) may take brush, leaves, and grass clippings to the site in approved paper lawn waste bags. Cans, boxes, plastic bags, etc., must be empties and disposed of by the resident. Free mulch is available for Burleson residents, upon request, on those days. Materials Accepted Brush cut in 4' sections Grass clippings Leaves Free mulch is available at the composting site for Burleson residents. If grass or leaves are brought in any container other than approved paper lawn waste sacks (cans, boxes, plastic bags, etc.), the resident must empty the yard waste out of the container.
