Curbside Program

The Town of Addison has offered weekly residential curbside pickup of recycling materials since 1992. You will receive a recycling bin and instructions after establishing water service at the Town's Finance Building at 5350 Belt Line Road. If you are a current single-family resident and have not received a recycling bin, please contact the Public Works Department at (972)450-2871.

Waste Management provides single-family garbage collection and recycling service to the Town of Addison. Recycling materials are picked up at curbside every Monday. By contract, collection service is suspended on Christmas day or New Years day when it falls on a Monday.

All recyclable materials can be commingled together in the green recycling bin. Excess newspaper can be bundled and tied or placed in a paper sack next to the collection bin. Please do not set out newspaper on rainy days as wet newspaper cannot be recycled. Please make sure that all bottles, jars and cans are rinsed and the lids removed before putting them in the bin. Please be sure your green bin is at curb by 7:00 a.m. every Monday.

Accepted Materials:newspaper, magazines, phone books, office paper, junk mail, cereal boxes, food boxes, flattened cardboard, plastic food and beverage bottles marked with #1 through #7, aluminum and metal cans including empty aerosol cans, clear, brown and green glass bottles.

Items Not Accepted:Plastic wrap, plastic bags, plastic toys, plastic bottles used for automotive or other hazardous materials, scrap metal, paint cans, pie tins, aluminum plates, light bulbs, plate glass, auto glass, mirrors, ceramics or glass that is not a food or beverage bottle.
