Curbside Program
 

Over 30 percent of Waxahachie’s households participate in the curbside recycling program, which is more than double the national average of 15 percent participation.

Curbside Garbage and Recycling Collection – Residents receive bagged garbage collection twice per week along with recycling collection once per week. For questions regarding these services or to set up garbage collection call City Hall at (972) 937-7330 ext. 132. For complaints regarding garbage collection residents must call IESI at (972) 937-8836 to report the matter.

Hazardous Disposal Program
  Items Not To Be Placed In Residential Trash:
  • Batteries
  • Oil, Grease, & Other Lubricants
  • Liquid Paints
  • Chemicals & Pesticides
  • Tires
  • Appliances (i.e.: refrigerators, air conditioners, microwaves, toasters, etc.)

Yard Trimmings Program
  The Citizens Convenience Station, located at 499 Lions Park Road near the Wastewater Treatment Plant, is a facility for citizens that live within the city limits to dispose of bulky items. These items may include household bulky items, lawn and landscape garbage, and brush and tree limbs. The Citizens Convenience Station is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 8am-4pm. Citizens using the facility must bring proof of residency (water bill). For questions regarding the Citizens Convenience Station, please call 972-937-7330, ext. 15.
