City of Rowlett Recycling

Curbside Program
 

IESI, the City's solid waste contractor, collects recycling material once a week on the same day as poly cart trash collection. Acceptable items include: Metal and aluminum cans (metal food and beverage cans composed of tin, steel or aluminum); plastic (soft drink liter bottles, and milk jugs); glass (clear, brown, blue and green bottles and jars); newspapers; magazines; catalogs; and other paper items (such as mail, envelopes, telephone books, chip board, cereal boxes, paper bags and slick or glossy newspaper inserts).

 

Multi-Family Program
 

 

Hazardous Disposal Program
  Household hazardous waste may be disposed of at the regional Home Chemical Collection Center located in Dallas. Please visit www.dallascounty.org/html/citizen-serv/HC3/ for location and hours of operation.

 

Yard Trimmings Program
  The City's Parks and Recreation department offers a monthly tree limb chipping program for Rowlett citizens. Tree limbs can be dropped off at the Parks and Recreation maintenance facility, 4732 Industrial Street, on the last Thursday and Friday of the month, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on the last Saturday of the month, 7 a.m. to 12 noon. Please do not bundle limbs with cord or wire, and please keep trimmings to less than six (6) inches in diameter. There is no maximum length requirement. There also is no charge for this service, although proof of residency is required. Mulch can be picked up from this location at any time.
