Curbside Program
 

Recycling services are included with your water bill. All recycling will be picked up on Wednesday. No sorting is necessary. Please place the bin within 3 feet of the curb or alley

Current recyclable materials for residents of Cedar Hill are: · Dry Mixed Household Papers only including:newspapers, mail, magazines, cereal boxes, catalogs, office paper, telephone books, chipboard and cardboard (broken down) · Aluminum and Metal Cans · Steel / Tin cans · Plastic Containers (#1 and #2 HDPE and PET) · Glass (clear and colored) Non-Acceptable items include: tissues, wet paper, wet soda cartons, chipboard or any paper contaminated with bodily fluids or food products, such as pizza boxes. No pesticides or commercial chemical plastic containers.

    Glass containers, Aluminum cans, Tin cans, Aerosol cans, Steel cans, Telephone books / paperback books, Paperboard / chipboard, Mixed paper, Paper grocery bags, Newspaper, magazines, catalogs, Corrugated cardboard, #2 Plastic, Milk cartons and juice boxes,

    Hazardous Disposal Program
     

    Cedar Hill residents may dispose of HHW in two ways. You can participate in a Household Chemical Collection Event which occur only a few times a year, or you can go to the Ft Worth Chemical Collection Center.

    The City of Cedar Hill now contracts with the City of Fort Worth to provide disposal services for household hazardous waste. Residents of Cedar Hill are invited to use Fort Worth's Environmental Collection Center (ECC) located at 6400 Bridge Street, just off of I-30E and 820. This service is offered free of charge to residents of participating cities on Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The center is closed on City holidays.     The Fort Worth disposal facility will accept most all materials excluding ammunition, explosives, medical waste, radioactive material (smoke detectors) tires, waste generated by businesses, and propane and butane cylinders. To use this disposal service, you must present proof of residency either with a copy of your current water bill or a valid driver's license.

     

    Yard Trimmings Program
     

    The City of Cedar Hill and Waste Management provide MONTHLY curbside brush collection. Loose brush to be placed at curbside (no alley pickup ) by 7:00 a.m. on Monday of the scheduled collection week. In order to avoid getting a citation, please do not place brush out on the curb before 6:00 p.m. of the Friday before pickup week. To view a map and schedule of brush pickup go to here

    This service is for residents only. Businesses are not included. Brush need not be bundled. Brush must not exceed 4-foot lengths or branches over 6 inches in diameter. Do not put brush on water meters or under power/telephone lines. Brush piles not to exceed 10 cubic yards (size of a compact car). Amounts in excess of 10 cubic yards can be negotiated between homeowner & Waste Management for collection. This service is not for residents utilizing professional tree trimming services.
