City of Bedford Recycling

Curbside Program
 

All recycling pickup days are on a Monday/Thursday schedule. Recycling maps are available in the Water Office at City Hall, Building "B" and from Allied Waste Services. Recycle these items: Newspapers, magazines, catalogues Junk mail Cardboard Household paper Plastic Jars Aluminum cans Recycling tips: Clear and colored glass is okay Crush cans Bag junk mail and household paper is paper grocery bags Rinse all food containers No mirror or window glass or light bulbs No wet paper Crush or flatten cardboard boxes Cover recycling bin (get an extra lid at City Hall)

Recycling Schedule

  • Monday - Within an area beginning at the west city limits line; east along of Cheek Sparger Road to Martin Road; south along the west side by Martin Road to Harwood Road; west along the north side of Harwood Road to Forest Ridge Drive; south along the west side of Forest Ridge Drive to Bedford Road; south and west along the north / northwest side of Bedford Road to the west city limits line; then, north along the west city limits line to Cheek Sparger Road.
  • Thursday - Within an area beginning at the southeast corner of the intersection of Cheek Sparger Road and Martin Road; east along Cheek Sparger Road to the east city limits line (F.M. 157); south along the east city limits line to S.H. 183; west along the north side of S.H. 183 to the city limits line west of Westpark Way; south along the city limits line to Pipeline Road; west along Pipeline Road to the west city limits line; north along the west city limits line to Bedford Road; east and north along the south / southeast side of Bedford Road to Forest Ridge Drive; north along the east side of Forest Ridge Drive to Harwood Road; east along the south side of Harwood Road to Martin Road; then, north along the east side of Martin Road to Cheek Sparger Road.

Friendly Reminder

To help Trinity Waste serve you better and to comply with city ordinances, please do not place trash and recycling materials at the curb before 7:00 p.m. on the evening prior to your regular trash / recycling day, and always have your trash and recycling materials at the curb before 7:00 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays.

Holiday Schedule for Trash and Recycling Collection

No collections will be made on July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day.

Hazardous Disposal Program
 

VOUCHER SYSTEM FOR RESIDENTS OF BEDFORD
You must call 817-952-2112 to receive a Bedford ECC program Voucher, before taking waste to the collection Center. (A recent water bill must be presented as proof of residency)

What waste is accepted at the Environmental Collection Center?

The Environmental Collection Center accepts unwanted household chemicals, free of charge, from citizens of Bedford and participating cities.

What's Accepted? Acids, aerosol cans, antifreeze, batteries (all kinds, including car batteries), brake fluid, craft chemicals, degreasers, drain cleaner, fertilizer, fluorescent light bulbs, herbicides, household chemicals, motor oil, paints & stains, paint thinners, pest strips, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, oil filters, solvents, transmission fluid, butane cylinders, propane cylinders, cooking oils, and varnish.

What waste is not accepted at the Environmental Collection Center?

Ammunition, asbestos, building materials, butane cylinders, explosives, medical waste, PCBs, radioactive material, smoke detectors, tires.

Yard Trimmings Program
  Brush and limbs will be picked up when securely tied in small bundles not exceeding (4) four feet in length or (50) fifty pounds in weight and placed at curbside with regular garbage. For non-bundled items stacked curbside, call Allied Waste Services for the fee.
