Texas AgriLife Extension Service is offering 1 day training course open to landscape professionals, government officials, and others interested in learning about methods of rainwater harvesting that can be used to control stormwater runoff on the urban landscape. Topics in this course include bog gardens, simple and complex rain gardens, storm chambers, codes and regulations, and other landscape designs. In addition to classroom learning, the course will take participants on a tour of nearby rainwater harvesting stormwater management installations located at the Urban Solutions Center. While this course is designed for those who already have a basic understanding of rainwater harvesting, anyone with a general interest in rainwater harvesting in encouraged to attend. It is for those who want to implement low impact stormwater practices with their towns, cities, or clientele to reduce runoff, conserve water, and increase the aesthetics of the landscape.Cost: $150 pre-registration, $175 onsite registration
