Yard Smart is a free, informative seminar designed to provide effective, beneficial ways to use water wisely in the landscape. Topics vary by season and includes such topics as Butterfly Gardening, Landscape Watering, Container Gardens, Perennials, Trees, and so much more. You can learn to make the right choices for your garden that will yield substantial water, money and time savings.This semi-annual seminar is offered in the Spring and Fall at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden Lecture Hall.
Spring Seminar is scheduled for Saturday, March 20 from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Topics include:The Benefits of Compost presented by Steve Chaney from the Tarrant County AgriLife Extension Service Attracting Beneficial Birds and Insects presented by Dotty M. Woodson from the Texas AgriLife Extension Service Each session concludes with a question and answer period. There are also display tables from presenters. Staff will be on hand to answer related questions.
